i took a lot of "molly" over a month span, it was the first time i had ever tried it but i did it probably 5 times over the course of 3/4 weeks.. I have noticed now that when i smoke weed my brain begins to feel kindof odd again and i freak out.. ALSO my head continues to feel a little funny but nothing major, i have began to have panic attacks and my overall mood isnt as happy.. i rolled for the last time (ever) about 10 days ago.. should i seek medical help or will time heal this?

time will heal this, don't worry about it. You will have more panic attacks (sorry) but it's just a biproduct of cannabis with some people.

The MDMA is (probably) not the cause of this, but I do not condone doing this much MDMA!!!! This is not good!

But no, the MDMA is not to blame, but don't take so much so often. The weed is the culprit - but it's nothing permanent, and you'll have to learn how to deal with the panic attacks yourself.

goodluck, keep posting if you have more questions.

take some more just to rule it out.
no seriously ecstacy is perfectly safe you took 10 hits in one month?
i would take that every day for one month and be just fine.
but take a little more just to be sure it's not that.

shameless dealer plug

hahaha jks

i agree with IJC in that its the green
but its possible you have some kind of residual effects of the rolls and smoking weed allows you to 'see' them more clearly
but yea mdma is a pretty 'kind' drug unless u binge 2 hard, the comedown can be a bitch

panic attacks are a son of a bitch, just smoke alone once or twice and control ur breathing, make it nice and normal and keep calm no matter what, even if you think your gona die from ur fast heart rate, trust me, you wont
observe why your having the feelings and just let it go, get loose and relax brother

If you're not enjoying a particular drug or having bad experiences on it, why not just stop taking it? Give your brain a bit of a rest and a chance to heal itself without being bombarded with more of the thing it is being warped by.

Okay I agree with itsscience advice first and foremost. But since realistically that won't happen, try preloading 5-HTP half an hour before you smoke. It will not only mellow out your smoke, it might also help replace some of the serotonin you just emptied out. :) Hope that helps.

I disagree with several of the other commenters. Yes, MDMA can cause permanent damage to your emotional stability because of the effects that it has on mechanics of the brain that control your mood. It's like a water spigot on a big ole gatorade cooler. Normally your brain releases appropriate amounts of serotonin and dopamine into your body, like holding the spigot open to release just a few drops of the happy chems at a time. MDMA forces your brain spigot to slam all the way open as hard as it can, flooding you with euphoria. Your spigot is friggin' fragile. Too much abuse and it -will- loose function that results in your dopamine reserves having trouble refilling. Responsible use of MDMA (waiting about 1.5 months between doses) allows for that spigot to not be damaged. I have read several reports and talked to a couple of professors who have seen cases of individuals using moderate dosages over a relatively short period of time and having long term effects. One prof specifically believed that it only takes a couple of months of 1-2 a week dosing for someone to experience serious damage. I personally know of one peer who (although he used MDMA much longer than two months) will probably never go off his antidepressants. (I'm in a psychology doctoral program with some really cool docs who'd give anything to be legally treating patients with MDMA. They aren't alarmists or prone to exaggeration either.)

Heavy MDMA usage can cause panic attacks and depression.

The good news? I'd guess you probably haven't done anything that permanent to your brain. Your panic attacks could definitely be a result of that heavy use. Slow down and use it safely. I'm also not saying that your problems aren't a result of weed. I don't know cause I can't look inside of your head--but, contrary to what these guys are saying, it -could- be... A very realistic -could-.

PS. I, not to be outdone, also agree with itsscience first and foremost. ;-)

dbear, you're saying mdma absolutely without a doubt causes permanent damage to your emotional stability? who cares what it does to axons permanently because new ones grow back, it's like pulling out hair by the root, more grows back. but you're saying permanent damage to emotional stability... i'm going to call bullshit on you kind sir. i and several people i know have been doing mdma for years and my emotions are as stable as they've ever been. everything negative that mdma does it me is reversed entirely in time. i have proven this to myself time and time and time again.

OP, back when i used to smoke weed, i noticed i would get weird effects from the weed after tripping or rolling recently. since i trip and roll fairly frequently i had to choose one or the other so i gave up weed. problem solved.

Hi Neil.

Start post:

What dbear is saying is the same as something I saw on a doco about ice. It was saying that ice is the worst of the drugs for damaging the little bitties that release serotonin to the extent that it becomes very difficult to experience joy without the ice and it never feels as good as that first high that you're always chasing.

by "ice" do you mean meth? meth and mdma are apples and oranges, you're referring to someone who has abused meth or coke to the point where their dopamine system is jacked. this does not apply to mdma, mdma is primarily a 5ht3 agonist, the amount of dopamine released by mdma is minimal. by "bitties" you mean axons? serotonin axons grow back, serotonin is upregulated and downregulated as needed, mdma does not effect you permanently. the only thing about mdma that effects you permanently are the experiences creating memories which you learn from.

I. Yes, by "ice" I mean "crystal meth" (bad bad bad drug).

II. The doco was only about meth not mdma, thought there might have been some paralells but obviously not.

III. I'll always trust the medical opinion of someone who graduated as a doctor at the age of 9.

IV. Rock on NPH, rock on!
