Hi everyone, I'm Amy and I'm 27, and I just moved to Canada from the northeast US where I grew up.
I've considered myself a psychonaut for about five years. (I love that word! ) My favorite hallucinogen would have to be salvia divinorum. I never tried any drugs or even smoked pot before I was 22, only because I never had the occasion or setting or impetus to experiment until then. But I've had some memorable/intense experiences tripping on RC's, organic hallucinogens, and dissociatives with close friends or alone. I'm open-minded to trying all kinds of drugs, but psychedelics in particular are on a higher level for me. They've taught me many great things, and although I don't do them nearly as often nowadays, I think I'll always love them for being therapeutic but also necessary to keep the mind truly alive and open. A good mushroom trip is like giving your cells a bath - afterward I feel like I've been reset. It's a wonderful thing.
I'm always game for diving into a good philosophical conversation about psychedelics, or any aspect of life for that matter. I'm interested in reading/sharing stories about them, and especially salvia, because to me it is the drug that really fucks with the mind, and often it's difficult to describe or make sense of the experience. For this reason I'm fascinated to learn about its defining traits, which stand out more as I hear more experiences and find connections.
I think of life as a journey of self-discovery, and psychedelics as a valuable tool to explore yourself and the way you connect to the universe. I believe both in moderation but also extremes. I look for intensity of experience but also like to respect the substance, whatever it may be, so as not to be stupid about using it. Thankfully I still have several drugs to try for the first time - two that I'm headed toward are ketamine and the legendary Ayahuasca.
Cheers!
