Growkit, you don't seem so fit

A while ago I ordered a growkit. I opened the lid 10 days ago and placed it a a plastic box with water. It gets 12 hours of artificial light a day, I spray the box twice a day with water and try to keep the humidity around 95%, and I keep it at a temperature of 27°C.

Yet I still see nothing. Not a thing. The top of the cake has shrunk a little, but that's it. Is this normal? Is there still hope or should I cantact Azarius?

I hope someone can help!

The correct temperature should be around 23, 24ºC. 27ºC is good for inoculation, but it's to high for growing. This way it will take longer, and it's harder to keep the humidity. Try to bring down the temperature, and keep the humidity high. Dont forget to recicle the ais, so the kit as oxygem. You can di this by opening the lid of your plastic box, and with it, ventilate the box for sometime.

Direct artificial light is not good for the mushis!
Try to spray the growbox whenever u can!
The growkit shrinked becuase of the higher temperatur, to much heat in the box and the direct artifial light left the cake dehidratited! U should put it him inside a box filled to the top with pre-boiled water( colled down ) and placed it the fridge for 24h this will rehidratet the micellium! /forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif
