Growing Philstones

Hi I've got a question about Philosopher Stones.
I'm growing them 4 months and i don't now if they are ready to harvest.
How long could I growing them maximum 7, 8 maybe 10 months?

the stones can be harvested after sixteen weeks, at minimum. The longer you wait, the more stones you get. So this is totally up to you

Man I want to grow stones to, but don't you need almost perfect conditions?
I don't know how long you can wait before harvesting...

I've just read that 3 or 4 months after colonisation the sclerotia doesn't grow anymore
