Grow kit questions

Can anybody help me?
I've got the kit started, opened the box but the top is full of vermiculite. Do all kits look like this? How are the mushrooms going to grow from beneath the vermiculite?
I see mushroom heads from the sides of the kit pressed to the plastic. Shouldn't the inside of the kit be taken out so these can grow?

Please, anyone who had a Psilocybe Cubensis Kit tell me what to do.
My kit arrived as it is, without any instructions!!!

I shure hope everything turn out ok. The kit is in a bucket that has 2cm of water at the bottom. I'll post my results.

Off topic, what happened to the amanita extract? Do you still have it? Can't find it at your site!

Amanita extract is out of stock for the moment... Not 100% sure that it is coming back. Check the site regularly for updates!

I've made an order for the amanita extract yesterday when I found it on the site. You've got it, right?
SO I inspected the kit today and saw that it was a little dry so I added more water to the bottom of the bucket and misted a little water to the walls of the bucket.

I know you mustn't mist directly on the grow medium in the grow box. What happends if some droplets of water end on top of the medium? Should I mist dayly or when it gets dry although this increases the chance of water falling to the medium (vermiculite) or is the water at the bottom enough humidity for the box and mushies to grow?

any personal experiences already? how good is the stuff? i might order some but last time we didnt have much luck eating the dried shrooms. maybe the extract has a more constant substance? thoughts anyone?

If you're talking about the AMANITA MUSCARIA I've ordered some 10X muscimol extract and advise you to do the same. It's prefferable that you know your past and origins. My ancestors were the dacs who fought the romans and celts. The vikings used the amanita in their berseker troops who did not feel pain, did not wear armour, just had two swords or axes or a sword and an axe. They slaughtered anything including Christians :frown:. Buy some!

Well, after an inspection of the kit I've found out that the mushies were growing from the sides as first thought so I turned the thing over and let it out of the box and am going to grow it vermiculite down just like any cake out there.

I had the same thing happening: First I exactly followed the instructions above (the same as on the azarius shop site) and the first two flushes were very small and poor (however they were still strong shrooms!)

Then I looked up other instructions on the web and found out that some point is missing in the azarius instructions: The shrooms need oxygen and they produce CO2 - the C02 is heavier than oxygen, so you need to fan air into the bucket like twice a day!

Then I removed the mushroom cake from the plastic box, put it in the bucket without water (only sprayed it until everything was moist). I close the foil almost totally and check the humidity on a daily basis, also I fan air into the bucket 2-3 times a day. Now the little fellows are growing wildly!! I will harvest my 5th flush today and it looks like there's still a lot to harvest from this cake!!
