Ginseng safe with MAOi?

Couldn't find much literature on Ginseng+MAOi and am wondering if Ginseng is safe to mix with MAOi? Thanks

why do you want to combine these two? Ginseng is not a drug, it is just like coffee, it wakes you up but very mildly.

You shouldn't combine MAOi's with certain kinds of food, so a bit of worrying about ginseng in combination with MAOi isn't that stupid

Yes, of course but I thought he wanted to try Ginseng as a drug and therefore I said that. Wait I will change the formulation.

Well I just came across a bottle of Ginseng and wanted to test out some Syrian Rue that day, but didn't know if ginseng was a safe mix with maoi, I ended up eating a bunch of cheese on accident on a sub and decided I'd best wait for Syrian Rue exp.
