Howdy.

It's been a while since I started a thread so I figured I'd ask a question that's been on my mind for a while. Do you guys smoke in a rotation? You know...? in a circle?

See, over here, where the smoke is illegal and therefor, a valuable comodity, we all have to smoke together. It's just a social requirement. If you pack a bowl, it's expected that you're going to hit it and then pass it to the next person. This, to me, is very annoying. I like to smoke by myself and take my time; but if I were to do that with 5 other people over at my house, they would get very irritated. So you're expected to hurry up, take a hit, pass it to the next and wait your turn to hit it again. Crap and bollocks.

So I was wondering if this is a problem in other countries where smoke is legal and if you want some you can just go out and get it, or if you guys also smoke in a rotation? This being the time of year where everyone is getting sick, it just doesn't seem sanitary.

I was also wondering if people buy weed to sell it. Like, do you have weed dealers in Holland, or does everyone either grow their own or buy it from a head shop. MJ has been very good to me in that it essentially paid my way through college, but do people make a living over there, selling it off the streets like we do here?

It usually depends in what groups.
With a lot of friends we smoke in rotation, with at some point 4 joints circling the group.

But yeah if someone has herpes or is sick we roll our own...


As for buying/selling weed or hash, there's some good cheap stuff on the market, but mostely you'd have to be lucky to know people, but there deffinately is a market outside the coffeeshop.

Yeah the 'cycle' thing is a problem here too. back in the ol days when i smoked tobacco (joints) this was cauing many problems.

Now i only smoke a pipe and smoking a pipe is different. Its an uncommon way to smoke hash and not many people have ever done it.. Therefor not many people ask me for my pipe, and i wont offer them anything (none of my "close" friends smoke pot). However sometimes someone asks me for a hit cuz he/she never tried it. they usually end up coughing discouraging anyone else to dare asking

Anyway we even have a specific order in the cycle
first the one who rolled the joint
2nd the one who's weed it is
3rd the one who got it from the shop (underaged kids )
4th the one who donated anything (paper, tobacco)
and then the rest

Concerning the black market (although coffeeshops are also 'black' because buying weed isnt legal, even for a coffeeshop), there is most definately one.
the shops need a supply for their weed, and its all grown illegally (yes, growing isnt allowed here, can you believe it?). The 'center' of this black market are the growshops. they provide the growers with cuttings, equipment. the grpwers get it all for free if they donate the first harvest to the growshop.
the growers will sell the next harvests to the growshop or they become a dealer.. coffeeshops turn to growshops for their weed, because they usually have high quantities. if a grower decided to start dealing it then yea, they could make a living of it. i _think_ that ~30% of the weed here is bought from dealers
Then theres also some unprofessional growers who sell their small in/outdoor grow to friends/underaged kids etc.

its not very common to grow weed here, its still not really widely accepted..
