Is some one try Muscaria and what are the effects?
And product realeted to Muscaria like joints made from Amanita?
And if is somebody try other stronger versions Amanita Pantherina,Amanita Regalis? :?: [/i]

Amanita Muscaria grows wild here in Finland and is a very common mushroom. Last autumn I experimented with 3,7g of dried material. It was dried in about 85 degrees of celcius (in attempt to convert ibonetic acid in to muscimol), steeped in hot water for about 20 minutes and strained. The dose was fairly low (at least according to Erowid) and it gave only very minimal visual effects. Overall feeling was very serene and pleasant, lasting for several hours. No negative side effects were noticeable.

But the potency of different specimens may vary a lot, so it might be a good idea to dry all the available material at once, grind it up and then mix it all in to as homogenous mixture as possible. Then one has a batch of material that should be at least of somewhat constant potency. Starting low, one can then start to experiment and gradually build towards higher doses until desired results are achieved.

I tried the azarius amanita joint once and it wasn't worth it. Almost no effect at all.
However I'm also very interested in trying amanita muscaria, it seems you can reach anything from a pleasant, light trip up to a full out of body experience.
This mushroom is the psychedelic heritage of Europe, Scandinavia and Russia. I'll have to try it at least once ;)

Good info on: http://www.jamesarthur.net/

Pantherina is playing chess with death - IMHO :)
100g fresh mushroom = lethal dose.
dont have that number for muscaria, but its far higher.

I'm very eager to try muscaria too :-)
(havent tried yet)

i`ve smoked a muscaria joint from azarius also but I had no effect at all
so I say dont do that... its pretty much a waste.. most of the alkaloids get burned during the smoking anyways for as far as I know
eating muscaria I say try it in a safe dose first ofcorse
i`m planning on taking them next year when they grow in the wild here in the netherlands again
oh and viaticus what did u use to dry them ... u said u did it with 85C ?

when i was 14 my sister dried a amanita once, and we smoked it in a joint. but indeed, no effect.

As we say in dutch: like talking about the devil :D
Animal Planet is showing Weird Nature about drugs and animals.. I look aside, reading your reactions, a reindeer is eating a red and white mushrooms 8) under the snow they consume the mushroom, also the people out there do. They think that's how the christmas legend started. I have to watch it again because i started typing, hmm. Anyway funny docu!

Btw. anyone know what kind of chemical the big 1000-legged-insects sprouts when the (maki) monkeys "use" them?

the documentary/lecture you are (i think) referring to is pharmacratic inquisition. I am also watching it now (its 3.5 hours so i do it in 3 times :P) and its very interesting!
a must-see for everyone imo. its free available at http://www.gnosticmedia.com/DL.html
sorry for offtopic :x

Thnx! I thought it would be very big, but 250 mb's takes 2,5 minutes for me

how pityful, but he won't download on my computer. I use winamp for if it matters. anyone know why it won't do it?
I use mozilla aswell.

@Forest

I don't know. I use mozilla and can download the movie without problems. It is a .wmv file so I don't know if it works on a mac.

If you can't save as then it might be the server.
If you just click on it and wait for something to happend, then you'll have to try and directly save the file.
It isn't firefox, 'cause I use it also.

thnxo a lot. it worked!!!!!

rechtermuisknop op direct downloaden en dan koppeling opslaan als en dan in een paar min is t gedaan!!!

I'm sorry for the off topic. Thanx for the documentary, i meant a different one though: 'BBC Weird Nature-Peculiar potions' (Weird Nature reveals the extraordinary array of different ways of behaving. Humans aren't the only animals with a potential addiction problem. Monkeys and bees get drunk, cats get high on catnip, and reindeer eat magic mushrooms. In the Amazon, Jaguars chew a hallucinogenic vine known as yaje, and in Madagascar, lemurs use millipede toxins to acheive their own high.)
Download torrent if you like: http://www.mininova.org/tor/43458

Cool! Another one, keep 'em comming guys!

Also rabbits get high on mint leaves

Back to the Fly... I don't think it will top the effect of a good cubensis, although I'm very interested in it.

Thnx a lot! Very cool it's a BBC production, they make the best documentaries in the world - they always have the best camerapeople, best effects/post and editing you could ever imagine for TV productions.

btw. there's also 5 other parts of this series, parts two to five are also on mininova http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=weird+nature but they're not about drugs it seems.

Would you be offended if I asked you not to do it?

First of all the amanita is a rare species and its illegal to collect them. Secondly, the potency is nothing compared to the ones that are collected in countries by people who know what they are doing. Thirdly, in my hometown some people started to collect amanita's a couple of years back. The effect was that the antidrugs lobby took away every visible amanita they could find.

I really love the sight of Amanita's in the season and I really hate it that people take it away for their personal pleasure. I also hate it there seem to be less Amanita's every year but that could just be my subjective observation :)

One option could be, that when people collect the amanitas, they would cut off the skin (the part where the alkaloid concentration is highest), then chop the gills and bury them in the ground under a tree of proper type (birch or pine for example). With some luck, a new batch of amanita mycelia is started. That way, every amanita collected is also contributing to the spreading of the species.

I`m not offended by this heartcore :)
if viaticus could PM me this translated to dutch..
cause I have no idea what he means by the skins and gills
seems like a fair midway to me then :)

and a reply to someone saying that amanita could not top the effect of psylocin
well I dont know scientific proof but since amanita's are more toxic I think theyre effects with the proper dosage will trip your balls off :P

Gills are the parts situated underneath the mushroom's cap. They are where the spores come from. Skins are the top, the outer shell of the cap.
