Hey all, how is everyone doing today? I have been a long time lurker, going on five years now. I always liked the place, never had a chance to sign up.

I began the internet drug board craze on a cannabis/entheogen board.
I had over 4,000 posts at one point. I then got away from smoking cannabis due to reverse tollerance, induced anxiety, and loss of ego control. While high on cannabis these were most prevalent, and slowly these negative effects were switching into my sobriety time. I had been smoking for four years daily, and I think it had many negative effects on my mind, and life in general.

As the cannabis board became more focused on cannabis, and these new "herbal smoking blends" (also known as Jwh-018 on plant matter) I became increasingly irritated by the vendors claiming their products were completely natural, when my friends and I knew that no herbal extracts could produce such a pronounced high, and if they did, it wouldn't last as long as the Spice blend's highs did. Very shady business. Needless to say, I stopped smoking.

I've joined many boards since, but none so focused on RCs and psychedelics. I find these to be very interesting, and I have tried my share. I'm hoping to meet ya'll and make some good friends. Hopefully I didn't bore you with my introduction. Please feel free to PM me with any questions, I'd love to make some new online friends.

Welcome!

Hopefully I didn't bore you with my introduction.

Well it says a lot about you, so i find these sort of posts very interesting ;)

Welcome PressureOnTheNoodle :D

Why pressure on the noodles?

Tight trousers ?

Welcome .

Thank you for the welcomes guys. Much appreciated.

My online life has been pretty interesting. I'd love to talk more about it, but I don't know what I should and should not keep private just yet.

I picked "PressureOnTheNoodle" as my user name, mainly because I often get strange headaches that feel as though some force is pushing on my brain. I believe they started when I began smoking cannabis heavily.
Another reason for the name, is I figured it would convey my desire to learn, and push myself to learn. So its really a double-whammy.

Lets see here, what else about me?
I'm not too old, but I'm not very young either.
I enjoy politics, world affairs, activism, spirituality, things of that nature.
Psychology, Sociology, things like that too.
For music I like the oldies but goodies of the 60-70s...
Raggea, Punk, Thrash, and Ska are also some of my favorites.
I try to experiment with different art mediums regularly.
Very interested in Street-Art, political street art, etc.
Effects of mind altering substances has always fascinated me, and always will.
I enjoy learning of uses for entheogens, medicinally, relationally, and for intellectual and spiritual exploration. Also, synths are pretty neat.
(although i have no idea how to do any of them, although i could be BSing about that to cover my tracks)

I guess I'm just your basic, run of the mill, liberal drug user really.
I'm not too intelligent, but I like what I know and I'd like to know more.
So I figured I'd sign up here, because you all seem smart. :P

uhhhh, thats about it. Anyone here take any security precautions? I've been hearing your being watched. :?: Good luck with that!

Welcome. Fuck them if they are watching. As long as you don't give out personal information and/or do anything very wrong, you should be fine. I think we also have something in common from what I have read. Cannabis started to give me anxiety also, so I had to stop, but I have began again and the anxiety is starting to leave.

peace & love

Cannabis didnt give you anxiety or headaches.......you did . Its called abuse . Instead of people treating their bodys like dustbins and then joining the war on drugs by blameing the drugs they should solve their problems first and learn how to use drugs properly .

The web is watched , but especialy sites like this . Its OK to say things about exfriends or things one did in the past but one should not boast about quantitys or talk about things people are doing now or plan to do in the future .

So god, what is the proper way of using cannabis to your opinion? And when is it abuse? explain.

Welcome welcome! :D

The proper way to use it isnt decided by me and isnt a matter of opinion . Abuse is when it causes a person problems and the level of use that could be abuse is diferent with every person .

Personaly when i used to smoke i found that once a month or 6 weeks was the only way that it didnt have any negative effects and that allowed me to get high every time and not just flatened . I smoked every day for about 36 years before i found that out .

Look at most of the people around you , look at most of the people sitting in coffee shops and the people who smoke from mornings to evenings . They dont get high anymore they become imune to getting high and just try to achieve that by smokeing more and more and that doesnt work . The secret of getting high and haveing a good time with all drugs is self control and learning what the drug is capeable of and not trying to use them to mask / solve problems and / or get more out than is in them .

I completely agree with God. (I never thought I'd say that) Cannabis is a drug like LSD is a drug like Meth is a drug. While they aren't all equally as destructive, addictive, or dangerous, they should all be treated with respect. I've been told this many, many times by older generation users.

I do not believe cannabis should be used daily. Plain and simple. It will cause problems. Maybe not immediately, or noticeably to the user, but it will cause problems, or change your life path. Because I was using cannabis daily I probably deep down, began feeling guilty. Or, perhaps I became worried that I was doing harm to my mind and body. It isn't the drugs fault at all. Its my fault for not keeping my use in check.

While I wouldn't go as far as saying you should only smoke/eat every 6 months, I would tell you to that ideally, you should not use cannabis to a point where you are beginning to want to use it more than once a week. Even that can be harmful to some. Everyone is different. You need to watch for the signs. Don't let it become a huge part of your life. Its a drug. It changes your reality. It changes your consciousness. You should master in the reality created by your mind. Minor in alternate reality.

Otherwise, you can begin to get the two confused. (Psychosis) and yes, i do believe daily use of cannabis can lead to a certain degree of psychosis. Looking now, there are many articles on the subject.

PressureOnTheNoodle a dit:

Thats not applicable to everyone my friend. I have smoked for several years. cannabis has helped me in so many ways. I suffer from chronic back pain from a past surgery, were they did a fusion on my spine and one of the screws got loose post sugery. I have to say that If it was not for the cannabis, I have no idea were I would be with my pain, prolly killed myself by now. I tried every other pain medication on the market, the majority of wich get me sick, and make me feel immobile. Cannabis not so much takes the pain away, dont get me wrong it does. But with what pain i have left, i find it so much easyier to keep my mind off the pain. I am able to function as a human, I feel motivated to go out and do things, were my pain usually keeps me in my room laying in bed waching tv all day.

You used it for medical reasons so the benefits probably out weighed the negative side . Its strange but i`ve heard that from other people who use it as a medicine and its my experience to . If it wasnt for cannabis i`d have not got through the first three months of my hepititis treatment and would have stoped it after the first week .

To me anything that someone does every day is suspicious . Its an adiction . Its running away from life . I smoked every day for about 36 years untill i woke up and learned to controll my use and then i started getting high again and not just flatened .

out of curiosity... did u smoke it with tabbacco?

Right, well yeah. Cannabis also has medicinal value as well. If the medicinal aspects outweigh the negative symptoms then you have that right to be using cannabis daily, for pain management. But there can be negative effects from using cannabis to manage your pain. Just like with using any med. drug.

Asprin is a great fever reducer, but it can give you stomach problems.
MDMA is great for working out marital issues, but it can allegedly cause brain damage if misused. Eating a hot-dog can stop starvation, but it can make you choke. Just because its helping you doesnt mean its not hurting you. As you said before, opiates help thousands of people live with their pain every day, but while they help, there are sometimes other problems created.

PressureOnTheNoodle, I experienced about the same as you did with cannabis.
I abused it, I smoked it daily. There was a time when I had a glass bong hit for breakfast, before my cup of coffee, and then nothing to eat. Maybe another hit.
Smoked like 3-4g weed per day at that time (homegrown by myself, which was the only activity I actually pursued with energy...)

I reduced it because of depression and psychotic, paranoid feelings on weed, but it didn't become much better. I had a hard time quitting the daily smoking, because I just couldn't sleep without weed or hash.

Then at some point I just couldn't stand it anymore - smoke weed, get paranoid - so why did I smoke it in the first place? I quit and everything was fine. I like to say that the weed actually told me "you don't want to abuse me anymore! I'm giving you paranoia as soon as you smoke me until you stop it!"

I can smoke weed sometimes now and actually enjoy it, but I'm doing it like a psychedelic, only at home with nice music. I do that twice a year or so.
