so to start off the there best mods to increase power to the engine are...
upgrade your exhaust to allow quicker flow of exhaust gases. this won't increase power but if you make modifications and have not increased your exhaust system it won't be able to handle the increased amount of gases the gases will back up and interrupt combustion.
remember burning oxygen releases twice the amount of exhaust gases.
second, increase the size of your throttle body and ducting to the air filter. a sports air filter is a must. remember to reinstall the air flow sensor.
don't go overboard there is too many things that can go wrong.
there is many things to be done first before you can really crank in the air.
third , send your computer off to be upgraded so it can handle larger fuel air mixtures.
but most of you already know these !
as for looking after your car.
replacing the oil is a must, its the most important rule.
the timeing belt should be changed every 80 to 100 thousands ks.
and the cooling system will do the most damage therefore sensors , thermostat, waterpump and radiator should be maintained.
