Drying my growed mushrooms

hi m8's,

I've started growing my own mushrooms and the proces is almost complete! But it's gonna bee a good harvest and i'm not in the position to eat them right away.
So i need to dry them.
I've searched the net for an easy technic, but i don't wanna use an oven or andy heaters.

Can you guys help me and tell me what's the best way to dry the mushrooms?

And another question. I've read that when you dry them you can store them in you're freezer for about a year, can you really freeze dried shoorms?
And how lang can you keep dried shrooms before the turn bad?

You could keep the shrooms in the paper bar in a dark and cool (but not humid) place. Don't use plastic because your mushrooms can start to rot in them if they can't get egnough air.

Yes, you can place the shrooms in the fridge and they stay there fine.

Mushrooms are still good for a year and there is even a possibility that they are still after 2 years, but 1 year is usually the line.

Some people also say that grinding mushrooms into a power and putting them in capsules or preserving them in honey will keem the shrooms potent for longer time.

My cheap and working method:

Get a standard shoe box, two PC fans and an ac adapter to power the fans. Cut holes on both sides of the shoebox and place the fans in a way that they blow through. Place some metal wire frame on the bottom, put the shrooms on and let them blow dry for a day or two untill they are dry (when you break them, they should snap with an audible snap).

Then for long term storage, put them in airtight bags, preferably with a little bag of dessecant (wrong spelling, I mean stuff to get water out of the air, if you buy consumer electronics, often one or two of those bags are packed with it).

Store them in a cool, dark place in an airtight container and they should remain potent for a long time.
