Dryd Mushrooms

Hi,

Me and my friends where walking trough the park
when sudenly we saw a box from nirvana.nl
we opend it and in the box was a bag of savlia
some maruhana a litle cube of hasj
and a big bag of what looks like some kind of mushrooms
the muschrooms are kind of white with orange and are dry
is this possible ?

white with orange sounds like some kind of amanita species. These are not psilocybe mushrooms, you have to be more careful with them or you could kill yourself. Read up on amanita muscaria first before you decide to try them.

It's very easy to make a distinction between Psilocybes and Amanitas, just look at some photos of dried and fresh mushrooms of both species. But if you are unable to identify the shrooms, I'd advise not to eat tem.

where can i ifnd pictures of them ? (i found a few of the amanitas but non of the psilocybes)
I searched on google yahoo and jeeves.

are those amanitas really that dangerous
and what do those psilocybes do

I'm not going to just eat them
But I want to find out more about them and then decide if its save to try a litle of it

they prolly look something like this
and i`m sure u dont have amanita's
cause mostly the shrooms u get from a smartshop have a white "steel" and a orange type hat
and btw dried amanita's are for as far as I know not very poisonous since the dangerous fluids have dried out of them
but i`m not 100% sure about that
try typing in Google this ; Psilocybe cubensis
and click on the pictures part
u`ll find loooooooaaaaads of pictures of what they can look like
ofcorse this is only 1 species but it will also direct u to website that can tell u all about the different kinds of shrooms + pictures if u take some time to look around

These are some dried Psilocybe species, you have so many differences but here you get an idea.

Also be carefull with amanita , althoug its belied to only be poisenous when fresh , some species that look very simular can even be deadly when dried.

I would also advice not to eat the shroom till you know what they are.

But still... youre one lucky bastard to find this package filled with happiness :wink:

Although I'm a n00b, I wouldn't pick up ANY wild shrooms.
Just buy them thru the proper channels and you'll be fine, picking them up from some other places would be just asking for trouble.

what ahs this got to do with the subject?
the shrooms werent hunted but found with other psychedelic material. its not 100% safe to take it, but i can imagine him taking the risk.
