Drawn to the fungus among us?

Hello everyone.
I'm fairly new to the forums here, but I am glad to have discovered a fairly intelligent :wink: etheogenic centered discussion board.
I've always found the mushroom to be this weird reoccuring symbol in my life. Even as a young child with no knowledge of psychedelics for some reason the mushroom kind of always stood out, and caught my attention. I remember hesitating to plow the wild mushrooms growing on my front lawn with the mower, and often stopping to just check em out'). Then you also have the shrooms in mario bros. and other ::sigh:: Pop-culture references. I am not quite sure what definitive point I am making here, but I dunno It just felt natural to me when i discovered there was a species of mushroom out there that had crazy psychopharmaceutical properties. It seemed like i had been sub-consciously conditioned to accept the fact that there was something extraordinary about
the little creatures, through perhaps the re occuring symbolism and my imparticular curiosity towards them. I am digressing however, and in short my Question is this, Do any of you feel like you were in some way drawn to the shroom?
Or am I just imagining things?

Mushrooms and tryptamines in general have built a massive and complex symbiosis with humans over our short evolution (in universal standards, it was quick) they are just as much a part of us as we are of them, and the subconcious link between us and them is alot stronger than maybe some of the other coexisting forms of life. The three letters D M T immediatly stood out and i had an unknowing affinity for the compound and its anologues, which include psilocybin. there are many of us who can hear the mushrooms sing to us, even if this does not manifest itself as a physical sound, we still hear them across the astral planes of the cosmos; beconing us to look in every direction and facet of life...

One patch of mushrooms, quite a large one in fact, only allowed itself to be known to me after it was ready to be harvested, for i had walked passed it many times untill i somehow knew they where there.

There is deffinatly a link, and it goes way beyond just this one aspect of psychonavigation. If i could hug them i would

I am the same as you, I remember as a young child always looking at mushrooms, and then when i actually figured out what they were and that some can make you hallunicate, i said it wasnt my thing...i was only 10 years old or so, but it was in my mind the whole time, somewhere back there, and i researched it and figured out these were very spritual substances and they can have profound effects. so finally around 17 years old i tried them, and really figured out the true power of them, amazing substance, and how it can be illegal i have no clue....

they put lots of images of mushrooms around in pop culture, cartoons, and all that shit. so that once you discover that there are actually mushrooms that make you see stuff, you...like...you actually try them, and like, you see stuff, like, it's totally wild and like, dude, i mean...it's all a conspiracy...the mushrooms are making sure we eat them so they have a power 10 times, like, the one of mafia, so like, when you go out as a kid, like, you see all mushrooms, and then like, you eat them. crazy huh? like, my friend who was on mushrooms, like, told me...crazy shit dude heh?

Actually I heard differently. All those images in cartoons and comics (many treasures in old disney toons ) are actually put there to get us ready for the great revelation that we are actually a symbiosis between the mushroom and primates. That in fact, we are half space(d)ling and half primate and that somehow, our destiny lies in becoming the mushroom again so we can re-enter (hyper)space again and use the earth as a new spreading point, as we have done already millions of times. Of course this will take a little more time since our DNA research is only about 55 years young and the current scientific establishment, fails almost completely in taking the messages from these realms seriously
