I'm currently taking St. Johns Wort, its supposed to help against mild depression and I must say I'm actually quite satisfied with it's effectiveness.

I want to trip on some shrooms soon and since both this 'medicin' and shrooms work on the brains serotonergic system I was just wondering if this could cause any complications/problems.

Anyone know or have an idea?

Will not taking the medication (I currently take 3 pills devided over the day called perika from the brand vsm) the day I want to trip be sufficient to prevent complications? Or would I better wait until I have stopped taking it before tripping?

There is meant to be evidence around that hyperflorin (the generally recognised main active ingredient of st. johns wort) interacts with psychedelics, so you may want to leave it a while.

hyperflorin according to the following source is meant to be undetectable after 24hrs if I read correctly - so might want to go by that..

On another note, I personally find psychedelics (in my case LSA's) completely destroy depression for months per dose - leaves me in more of a philosophical mindset than miserable.

Sometimes it can bring you even deeper down. Please be careful. Make sure you have a comfortable setting, and the people you trip with you are also comfortable with. Again, please be careful.
