this is not going to be censored or creatively worded. i could be completely wrong, but this is about the truth and i'm not going to make it easy to digest.

we need to wake up.

our culture (where i live in the US) is obsessed with materialism and competition because we have lost touch with true euphoria, true love, and empathy for other conscious beings.
many go about their lives without even trying to achieve this because they think it not possible.
that's why i'm here. many of you here have at some point experienced a truly euphoric and loving community. you know what that can do and create.

look at the world that materialism and obsessive competition creates. look at the way it makes people act.
i've seen and heard many disturbing things and don't want to continue in that direction. lives are at steak.

it is possible to change our fate. the key is for everyone to wake up.

agree? if so, what do you think are some ways to get this message to the hard to reach masses? many people i think have understood this but we need to reach critical mass.

ey brodda whats up!

I'm going to dissapoint you even more - the US ain't the only place in the world that suffers from that disease.

Yes, indeed its hard to cope with reality, but that's what psychedelics are all about, you form your own reality, not the one society created. I've had the same thoughts, and I still do, but rather then going all heroic and risk my life for some idiots to wake up, I chose to profit from this hypocrisy, and start the change beginning with me. People are fond of having an idol, which can be created by simply behaving as ourselves as much as we can. There are people who get lucky enough to start feeling, and there are the damned who live for stone, metal and paper - that's just the way it is, and that's just the way it will be.

I've lived in the UK in London and in North Cyprus, small island south west of Turkey in the Mediteranean Sea.

The large majority of people, 'mainstream culture', is fully into materialism, television, whatever is trendy.
So yes, I feel like you :encouragement: lets hope that these so called 'Truth Vibrations' that are supposed to come around December 2012. This is the only time in my life which really, really hope being right about something.

Welcome to teh forumz noobz :tennis:

i've noticed that many people now do tend to worship idols, it's conditioned into them now since birth (more readily available multi-media forms). a good way to remedy this is for oneself to become an idol. stand out at what you do, and in your glory, dispel all idols. the thing about "fighting" these shit ideas these days, is not about fighting at all. conventional thought these days is very masculine based, it's all "eradicate any doubt" "destroy the opposition". it's too brutish and is not effective. the masculine perspective is very valuable, but it becomes useless if not combined with the feminine approach. the same goes the other way around. there is no need to debate the other person into submission when a conversation may do just the same if not more. a conversation has the ability to bend, it is more flexible, where a debate is very rigid.

ever wonder why bruce lee said to be 'formless like water' instead of, 'be hard like iron'?

what that means is that we must relate to the common man, and in a way that rouses no suspicion, for there is nothing to be suspicious about. if any man is given a solid path of information, they will all come to a similar conclusion like we have. even the doubter, the overthinker. these things take longer for these individuals because they are too one sided(too much thinking, not enough feeling), nonetheless, when the 'norm' becomes normal, these people too will join.

the thing one must ask is: "how did we (edit: psychonauts) get to be where we are now?" im sure nobody here was harrassed into coming here, or believing what they do. or even if they were, they simply followed the new trail because it appeared really interesting, like there's really something to it, not because somebody made them.

these are some of the things we must ponder and ruminate on, in order to easily integrate ourselves, this information, with the whole of society.

Oh I did ask this question , and I do have a answer for it. I consider that people simply turned to those who were more powerful in body and mind, which happened to be rich folks at the time.

Now, as an artist, I understand why people won't turn to us. Everywhere you look, artists cry they don't have this they don't have that, while businessmen scream that they have everything, and its clear for the lost ones who will they follow. This is where the change must happen, and by my spirit I will contribute to that. Who's with me? :)

when i said "we", i meant all of us engaging in this discussion, not the collective "we". though i suppose it can apply in a similar fashion on a larger scale. nonetheless i see your point. still, i believe that the starving artist meme is virtually dead, at least in my world. more and more artists are coming up with creative ways to do what they love and live wealthfully doing it. not rich, wealthy.
