Could be getting ripped...

I've been buying my weed from a guy for about 2 months now, at first the portions where good and the quality was great. Now adays the bag is only half a litte more than half of what it used to be, he makes up excuses about it but i still want to weigh the weed myself. Can anyone make any recomendations on a good scale? price isnt much of an issue but not something ridiculasly expensive.

if its on weight when u check it, but the deal seems hideously small u probably getting that "import" weed or homegrown thats been soaked in brix, or some similar solution, it adds 50% to the weight .. its not only gritweed u have to watch for theres quite a few weight gaining products out there they use to increase profit.
the usual excuse given to small looking but on weight deals with that stuff on is -"its compressed when they bring it in"
i cant remember the last time i saw import that hadnt been fucked with tbh in the uk ... maybe 2003?
grow your own if you can ... least u know whats in it

ALWAYS get the guy to weigh it . If he wont NEVER buy from him again . Always look realy good at it and smell it . If it looks strange dont buy it . In the end he can only rip you off if you let him . He thinks he has you and can rip you off , be strong , tell him hes a cunt and dont buy anything from him . Tell al your mates and the public preasure will ruin his reputation and people will find other sources . As long as you dont actively look for reliable , honest sources you wont find any . Remember people from every generation smoke cannabis . Theres probably someone you know or near you that will help if they see you are OK .

What I would do is just go spend $2-$5 and buy a 'Postal Scale' which is just a handy little analogue scale usually weighs up to 1-2oz by .1g, weigh it out while you are there if he won't and call him out on it.

Thanks for the positive replies guys. My situation how ever is a little different than the average deal. Firstly I dont actually go to his house or anything, I just call him up and we meet somewhere on the street since we live on the same road. Also when I got the portion, he said the reason why it looked small was because it was the type of the bud, it was actually different than normal, quite stringy (if that makes sence). I'm not that good at confrontation either and I dont want to ruin his business, he seems like a nice guy and people do what they got to do to get by. I think im just going to invest in a postal scale and if its under i just wont buy from him anymore. Thanks again.

tbh= to be honest,
brix+ is a type of foliar/bud spray and soak, it has a few methods of application, can be sprayed onto the buds a few times in the last weeks of flowering, alternetively you can "soak" the buds in it immediatly after harvest.
brix+ was originally advertised to gain a guranteed 30-50% to your yield by replacing sugars in the plant.
there is a host of other similar products out there now, with flavours (have a search and youll find some no doubt)
i think the majority of younger smokers are pretty much oblivious to the stuff, and it takes quite a while for seasoned smokers to "put their finger" on it when they are smoking bud treated with this.
its relatively tasteless, in the sense i banged a load off a bud once, and chomped on about 1g of the powder out of curiosity, far as i could tell all i could taste was glucose and a slight plastic aftertaste.
it may sound stupid eating a bit - but we was smoking the shit beforehand
it comes off the bud as an opaque kind of powder, (unless its covered in the stuff.. u might see lumps dropping off the stems of bigger buds) rather like thc, but when u try to clump it together youll see without a doubt its not thc.
the easiest way to tell is your deals look small, like half the size they should be, after that id say squash a few of the bigger bud stems, see if theres a coating coming off. ill try search for brix on a bud pic, nothing like seeing, to understand lol

yeah - at 30 quid a litre and adding 50% (which you can see but people still buy) to the weight its a moneymaker for the greedy, and the consumers lose out. at 20% or thereabouts i dont think its visible at all on the skunk, its back to the smoking and deal size for indicators the buds been fucked with.
god, i was interested in a pic youd posted a while back, the 600g pm2 buds?
did you strip the bottom of the plants when u went 12/12 and grew single colas? how long was the veg period for?

First of the dealers that only deal on the streets are most of the time unrelyable people, they deal on the street because they don't want to stick around if you make them to. also if the weed is stringy it shouldn't weigh that much because their is alot of space between the strings. the only weed that weighs much and looks small are the really thick and compact buds. but you should easily see if that is the case or that you're just being ripped off. also if he is ripping you off you shouldn't feel bad about destroying his business because if people that are being ripped of don't act against those people they will continue ripping people of and you give them a chance of getting succesfull in it because you keep buying your stuff from them.

Earlyer in this topic someone said that he should tell his mates about this dealer and everyone else, that he could be ripping him off thus creating a bad name for the dealer wich could destroy his business. To wich he replied that he seems like a nice guy and he doesn't want to destroy his business.
i'm just saying he shouldn't feel bad about it if this guy is actually ripping him off.
