hey!!

so, understanding of the matters of consciousness and consciousness itself have gone through many neuronal rides in the electrical circuits in my brains... and after all the knowledge and understanding and so on, which have grown out of that process, the "conscious matters" in me or should i call them "consciousness matters", still manage to remain a elemental mystery to me somehow...

so the possibilities are i am just an imbecile, retarded, schizophrenic, etc.. too stupid to realize shit or ... consciousness really IS a mystery... it might be a great mystery and... it might still then be a even greater mystery...

anyways i assume most of you who will read this, may have a at least vaguely similar common understanding of the concept of consciousness. the realms of consciousness can be deep rivers, mountain lakes or oceans. it's no wonder consciousness would seem to be able to present itself like a stone, falling into water, eventually forming ripples on the surface.

moreover it seems to be the basis for reality, as we know it, or better for the "we know it" part of reality... not saying it may not be the basis for other realities, as well. :P

as therefore it is not exactly, precisely something like a building block, it appears more to be of a inclusive nature, at the same time being also the building and the builder and building blocks. what this should be saying is just a little bit more,
than "the whole is more than the sum of its parts". mmh so i will keep it short to avoid too much confusion before the discussion in the first place.

the elemental questions, that appear to be arising could be of great quantities. however to point just a few of them out here... for example:

1) what is your theory/idea about its origin or nature???
2) what is it effectively in our world???
3) might it be present in other places than living beings???
4) might it be able to form essentially a "greater" form of itself, by connecting with other forms of itself???
5) might it be able to grow in the world of forms by inclusive expansion or partly inclusive expansion???
6) how or/and where could it have end/beginning, if it might be as big as it could be, however big that might be or as small???
7) is all what is possibly contained just displayed in the self-contained colors, modulated with black/white and different shades of grey ( or vice versa ) or are there other ways of letting it be fed than by sensory perception, thoughts or feelings???

howsoever and whatever it might just be or have become, don't let yourself be bothered by the questions i made up... it's nice if you make up your own ideas or questions, if you like, surely... i'd be glad and ... be aware, i don't mind your feelings, you should do so yourself!!! just kidding... couldn't resist that small pun... hehe
consciousness DOES matter, even when it is not seeming to BE (of) matter, maybe it's more like the observing, at least partly controlling instance of the directional flow of the matter-systems, which make up the forms of the world and maybe also outerspace??? quantum physics or mechanics say the observing process itself changes/influences the observed matter in some cases. how logical is that, considering the fact that matter changes/might change the observer or rather the observing consciousness ??? :o
i am curious what you think and what you have to say!!!

Firstly I'll address this: "Quantum mechanics says that by observing matter you change it somehow"
I'll answer this with a quote from tihkal:

" 'How do you follow a man in the dark?' 'You shine a light on him' 'But then he's no longer a man in the dark...' "

Secondly I think the origin of consciousness is just the checking between two systems - the observed, and the processes. I believe consciousness is the byproduct of the connectedness of two very complex parts of the brain. I believe it's a way of interpreting data from one system to another, much like the way a processer computes in binary, but has the ability to 'show' its information via photons. However, it is still a mystery what is percieving this translated information - why is it that I need to actually see this information?

I find it impossible to be outside the bounds of our physical mind, yet impossible to describe it as such.

I also wonder this: at what point do you become conscious, and how could you know? Am I truly conscious right now? I think I confuse consciousness with free will quite often.

Is there a black white line where you are conscious and then not conscious? I truly believe your mind could simply expell an "I'm conscious" without actually being conscious - so does that mean not all people are conscious, they simply have gained the information to create this belief in their neurons?

I believe consciousness physically has to do with memories - which is why babies are not conscious, they have no memories.

that makes sense man...

i suppose if you really were conscious, you would be knowing it. lol ...

yet it may be your mind is tricking you or you have sown lies "in it" ??? confusion can be a factor too, when it becomes too
strong. your mind might be confused and expecting a different degree of consciousness if that makes some sense.

obviously consciousness appears to be sort of a relativistic element or axiom. like with for example light you could say the difference between higher and lesser degrees of consciousness, or the positions of individual degrees by themselves on a scalar; might be defined or be defining themselves only by creating a relation between them and the other(s)...

i think consciousness is a professional boundary-former and -dissolver. therefore i kind of get why you seem to perceive being of a limited kind of nature....

it's an interesting topic for sure, but now i can't write anymore. maybe later... 8) :D

I have developed a quasi-scientific theory about consciousness following the model of electromagnetism. The paper is titled What I Think God Is, but don't let the title and use of the G-word throw you off.

What I think God Is

It starts with one individual consciousness, which has surrounding it, emanating from it, a dipolar field, like the magnetic field around a magnet which can be observed by holding a magnet under a piece of paper and sprinkling iron filings on top.

This consciousness comes into proximity with, is joined by, another consciousness, with its own unique but fundamentally similar field. When the two discrete units of consciousness, DUCs, come close enough, when the fields intersect to a certain degree, the lines of force join to form one field, if their poles are appropriately aligned. Inherent attraction/ repulsion properties will cause this alignment to take place if the two DUCs are brought together with sufficient force under controlled conditions.

This is the underlying principle I see in operation. (I know this is nothing revolutionary. I mean, Chakra theory, right?)

Now extrapolate from this more and more DUCs being brought into proximity with each other, from immediate family or house-mates through extended family, school, work, church, region, nation-state, all the way up to a planetary scale, the field becoming larger and more all-encompassing until it includes all the DUCs on a given planet. Then take it to the scale of the solar system, then the galaxy, the local group, the super-cluster, all the way to its logical conclusion in one overall field of consciousness that includes all the DUCs in the universe.

This is what I think God is.

I believe that we, the DUCs, are the field. We are the generators of the field. We, in this paradigm, are the god. We create the god. The god comes from and is inside of each one of us. Again, nothing revolutionary here. To me it fits right in with what a great many religious and spiritual and metaphysical traditions, both eastern and western, have been seeking to illuminate since the dawn of time.

Physician heal thyself.

Judge not lest ye be judged.

If you seek, seek inward.

God is inside you.

In our own image we will make him.

It's all in your head.

Thou art God.

Etc., ad infinitum

Truly, because we, the DUCs, control both the conditions and the force with which we are brought together, we are God. And if we would seek God, we would find him most assuredly within our own selves, our hearts and minds, within the individual discrete unit of consciousness we each carry. Which "God" has been telling us all along, the way I read many of the texts.

Everything points in this one direction...

...toward the center.

(At this point in my notebook there is a drawing consisting of eight arrows converging on a center, an eight-sided star formed where the points touch, with the letter U in the middle.)

What I/you/we think, God is.

This field is present whether we choose to acknowledge it or not.

well yeah mate, that makes sense... i think too, god is the source, which is love and at the same time, the source for love.
and i think, that consciousness basically has the ability to raise itself up to higher vibrations and densities to experience itself in higher dimensions, what in other words might be saying, to (re-)connect with the source (god).

know what i'm sayin??? :D

open your eyes and you shall see!!!!
