How do you know all these companies [americans]?
Western society-- scratch that, western companies-- owns so much space in your brain. So many neurons are dedicated to love, hate, disagreement or agreement with these companies.

yeah i too see that as a waste of energy, depending what your paradigm of reality and your inner reality is. so if you don't know, you have to trust what others say or write or what you think you know regarding your judgements towards these or other companies. if you aren't sure about yourself, i think that process can be quite detrimental, however it should be clear that it shouldn't be. maybe it's better to just not care about them then. in this cold world it's important to believe in yourself and for that you need at least some power and if you give it away, by being irresponsible for yourself, it may seem as your fault.
and maybe it is, but even if so, it doesn't help to feel guilty towards such a impersonal institution like a big company.
i'd say free your mind and go for mental liberation.

Adverts, tv shows, and movies are the modern tools for brainwashing you to give these big companies your money. Its all motivated by greed. Thats why i never watch tv and rarly watch movies, because most of them are so obviously there to mold the way you see things. The news, is only a tool to set the opinions of the masses, the government wont let real news be aired.. another reason i stik to the internet, even for the weather forcast. You flick the tv on for more than 5 mins, and tell me how many suggestions you get to give your money away to one of these huge and greedy companies.

Its so obvious, yet if you try to tell any one of the victims about it, your instantly classed as a "conspiricy theorist" and shunned for your thinking. They say brainwashing cant get you to do things you dont want to do. That may be true in a literal sence, but it CAN however influence your opinions to match up with what they want you to think.

Mind expansion? nnoooooo badddddd, dumb urself up, and follow the rest of the sheep, dont break the mold. it makes me sick.

and i prefer the big bombing cans of molotow. fuck paying for your ads. steal the adspace back man!

Good opinion. I agree totally.

Yeah, TV is a big, bad poison. And it's not like this is news, I can't remember who, but there were people even when TV was first introduced who could see the evil potential of the picture-box. Take a walk around the neighbourhood at dark and see how many houses have blue flashes of light through the windows, it's probably the most popular drug in the industrialized world (besides maybe sugar).

I like your point about being labelled a conspiracy theorist Trick. That is the brainwashee's defence mechanism, to protect all those precious little programs and ideas that make up their perceptions of the world. You challenge those, and many are too weak to consider what you're saying and they have to defend it by disregarding what you say and maybe even you yourself!

Keep them entertained and they will not think. If they will not think, they will not see what the fuck is wrong about their situation. We're fucking cattle, like Spice mentioned in another topic. And like our bovid brethren, we are being mass-produced and served to our masters in a very disrespectful and degrading sense!!

Jeez.. i just got this image in my head of walking down the road at night, and every single window blinking in sync. fucking creepy.

and i mention the conspiracy thing, because its happend to me numerous times trying to explain my view to closed minded people. not just on brainwashing, but on the key to relase from it. mind expansion.
when i bring that up, i cant even begin to tell you some of the replies ive gotten.

i must say the man has done a good job at teaching his little minions to stick to the set path. people fail to see that there can be a better world if they just DO something about it. Im allready conjering up some plans of my own, they may start out small, but they will eventually change something somewhere. Im sure of it.

But what you said about the defence mechanism.. i can think of atleast 2 occasions where ive litterally been yelled at, for voicing my views in a calm and completly nonprovoking manor. and as this was happining, i refused to cave in and yell back, so i sat and just said "Cant you see what your doing right now? Yous dismissing something that makes perfect sence, and being completly irrational about it."

The second something pops up and threatens their "reality", they are alomst programmed to distroy that threat with any rationalization they can make, and if there are no other rational excuses... anger.

but i must say that problem is mostly with the older generation. i saw in a thread somewhere(i think it was IJC) where someone said the baby boomers are dying off, and consciousness is becoming a new fad. (or something along those lines)
and i can completly aggree, almost all of the younger generation is completly open to these sorts of views. Whereas the older generation(who have had oppinions impailed into their brains), are MUCH more close minded.

Another reason that could be, that ive also seen mentioned somewhere, is that as you get older you become less and less open to new ideas. All though this might not be entierly true, i can deffinatly tell you that the way my brain processes things now, as aposed to when i was a very young child, is MUCH diffrent. Although keep in mind im not even 18 yet. but when i was a little kid the world was full of possibilities, and anything was possible. But now i find myself trying to rationalize things alot, and look to science and logic to explain things.

i deffintly think im overdue for a good trip. its been something like 2 years.

only afew weeks left till the mushrooms are done cookin.

I think that's because as we age, we are continually adding more programs to our brains. Humans have a need for the familiar and I think this grows as we age as well. After a lifetime of gathering information and programs, I think most people have their views of the world pretty well set, and are not looking to have them change- their mind is closed.

Not to mention all of this brainwashing we are talking about, the bombardment of advertisement and values being shoved into your head must have a degenerative effect over time, making weary and closing up the mind.

and thats where psychedelics come in!

Morpheus: Welcome to the real world.
Morpheus: Welcome to the desert of the real.
Morpheus: What is "real"? How do you define "real"?
Morpheus: You've been living in a dream world, Neo.

Neo: What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?
Morpheus: No, Neo. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to.

Neo: I know kung fu.
Morpheus: [eyeing him, hand on chin] Show me.

Morpheus: How did I beat you?
Neo: You... you're too fast.
Morpheus: Do you believe that my being stronger or faster has anything to do with my muscles in this place? Do you think that's air you're breathing now?

Morpheus: I'm trying to free your mind, Neo. But I can only show you the door. You're the one that has to walk through it.

Morpheus: Free your mind.
[Morpheus jumps from one building to another a long distance away]
Neo: Whoa.

Neo: Why do my eyes hurt?
Morpheus: You've never used them before.

Morpheus: Neo, sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.
...

Agent Smith: I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.
Agent Smith: I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand it any longer. It's the smell, if there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it.
Agent Smith: Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world? Where none suffered, where everyone would be happy. It was a disaster. No one would accept the program. Entire crops were lost. Some believed we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world. But I believe that, as a species, human beings define their reality through suffering and misery. The perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this: the peak of your civilization.
...

Morpheus: Throughout human history, we have been dependent on machines to survive. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.

Agent Smith: The great Morpheus. We meet at last.
Morpheus: And you are?
Agent Smith: A Smith. Agent Smith.
Morpheus: You all look the same to me.

Neo: Mr. Wizard. Get me the hell out of here.

Morpheus: You have to let it all go, Neo. Fear, doubt, and disbelief. Free your mind.

Neo: Okey dokey... free my mind. Right, no problem, free my mind, free my mind, no problem, right...

Neo: Am I dead?
Morpheus: Far from it.

Morpheus: [to Neo who is choosing the red pill] Remember... all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more.

Morpheus: What is the Matrix? Control. The Matrix is a computer-generated dream world built to keep us under control in order to change a human being into this.
[holds up a Duracell battery]
Neo: No, I don't believe it. It's not possible.
Morpheus: I didn't say it would be easy, Neo. I just said it would be the truth.

Morpheus: We've done it, Trinity. We've found him.
Trinity: I hope you're right.
Morpheus: You don't have to hope. I *know* it.

Agent Smith: Find them and destroy them

Agent Smith: You're empty.
Neo: So are you.
...

Morpheus: The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.
[Neo's eyes suddenly wander towards a woman in a red dress]
Morpheus: Were you listening to me, Neo? Or were you looking at the woman in the red dress?
Neo: I was...
Morpheus: [gestures with one hand] Look again.
[the woman in the red dress is now Agent Smith, pointing a gun at Neo's head; Neo ducks]
Morpheus: Freeze it.
[Everybody and everything besides Neo and Morpheus freezes in time]
Neo: This... this isn't the Matrix?
Morpheus: No. It is another training program designed to teach you one thing: if you are not one of us, you are one of them.

Morpheus: We've survived by hiding from them, by running from them. But they are the gatekeepers. They are guarding all the doors, they are holding all the keys. Which means that sooner or later, someone is going to have to fight them.
Neo: Someone?
Morpheus: I've seen an agent punch through a concrete wall; men have emptied entire clips at them and hit nothing but air; yet, their strength, and their speed, are still based in a world that is built on rules. Because of that, they will never be as
strong, or as fast, as *you* can be.

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Spoon boy: There is no spoon.
Neo: There is no spoon?
Spoon boy: Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

Switch: The digital pimp hard at work.

Trinity: What's he doing?
Morpheus: He's beginning to believe.
