It doesn't. But it's true that some folks with a psychosis have a history of cannabis use. There's no causal connection, other than that people with a latent psychosis tend to use/abuse lots of cannabis, and other drugs. I know someone with schizophrenia who smokes a lot of cannabis (and drinks alcohol in excess), and I'm sure some of you know people like that. People with weak social skills (common among people with mental disorders) will often smoke lots of cannabis, but the cannabis use is not the cause of their problem, rather the result. When they then snap and become psychotic or schizophrenic ignorant parents and doctors may blame the cannabis, but there's no scientific reason for that. The foundations for mental disorders are usually laid down in early childhood, not in the teenage stoner period. And in the ultimate analysis it's usually the parents/ grandparents/ great-grandparents/ community that is to blame, not the person's stoner friends, or their smoking habits. How can cannabis cause psychosis?
I never understood why people smoked it mixed with tobacco?? what is the reason why they do that?
