I got into chevelle when I was around 14, "The Red" struck a chord with me,
now acourse i look back and that song isn't exactly where I am now anymore.

But it seems the way I have grown, chevelle's music has grown.

Their newest album "Sci-Fi crimes" is 80% god awful rock in my ears to be honest, the only actual music I like from is it "Shameful Metaphors"
However;

Their lyrics on this album. Especially Jars and Shameful Metaphors are seemingly too deep for me to even comprehend. I'll give you a lyric:

IMy interpretation is him talking about evolution, are we still evolving, or is this wrong, is our path wrong. No longer nature.

oh i feel the same way, though i haven't listened to their new stuff. i saw the red at mtv years ago. but i like send the pain below even more. these songs remind me of the way i used to feel in my teenage epoch... bitter, pissed, with a constant urge to smash things in search for elusive catharsis

Their newest album, bad music. Lyrics are however more obscure, but very pissed off. Peter doesn't like the direction of humanity
