Calling all Aussies

I'm looking for mushroom users in Australia. New to the psychedelic community. I've taken MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, canabis etc. Over the years I've never encountered mushroom 'dealers'? How does it work do people just grow their own because they don't seem as readily available as other drugs?

I'm pretty sure many strains of mushrooms grow naturally in Australia, so do some research and you will get them for free, but please be careful as misidentification can be fatal.

Yes but thats my problem, I'm not sure where to start looking for them, any suggestions? Are you australian?

No, sorry, I'm just about as far as possible from Austraila; Canada. But if you do a simple google seach, you will find all your information about the species that grow in that area. But usually they grow on woodchips, on dung, straw, and many other things. But please be careful. Also a good thing to invest into would be a mushrooms hunting book. You will proabably be able to find it at a local book store.

Well first, you must understand. Mushrooms are not drugs man. There divine, just like all psychedelics and should NOT be taken lightly or as a recreational substitute for those uppers (meth, speed, coke ect.) your used to taking; its by far the most profound experience, besides strait DMT, you will most likely ever experience. They deserve the upmost respect or you won’t be shown any in return by them while you’re in the midst of your first trip.

User_1919 is right in that they do grow everywhere, especially at home. We have a large variety too; some grow on dung in pastures like Psilocybe Cubensis but the majority I found to exist around me were woodchip loving species such as Psilocybe Azurescens, Psilocybe cyanescens and subaeruginosa. You’ve missed the season for wild mushies by a bit anyway, so wait till next year and do allot of reading and discovery before then on the nature of psychedelics and psychonauting in general. I just don’t want you ending up as another statistic proclaiming psychedelics, if not all drugs, as evil and destructive because of a difficult or many bad experiences you may have whilst jumping in uneducated on the subject; even to a small degree, the respect and some level of knowledge must be there, or just go back to meth. It all depends on your willingness to discover the true nature of reality and of yourself.

Well in closing, no one, or very few people deal mushrooms in OZ simply because THEY find YOU! As soon as your mind is ready to accept to some extent the power of the mushrooms and what they can give you other than a high of sorts, you will no doubt stumble upon a patch near your house in the midst of winter. By simply doing some searching on the net (I can recommend www.erowid.org if you haven’t looked already) you will be able to not only find and identify psilocybin mushrooms with ease, the trip itself will mean allot more to you and the experience will no doubt be more mystical and gratifying to your overall outlook on life and discover the infinity of the universe as so many have before you through the power of our teacher, the almighty mushroom!

I agree with buffachino, mushrooms do deserve the most respect. My father always told me sorta what buffachino is trying to say. When you are ready to trip, they will come to you, and it has never failed for me. So just do a lot of reading(I read for about a good solid 6 months before my first trip), and when your ready to trip, they will find you,

Yes understandable. I haven't touched 'drugs' in about 3 years. I haven't had alchohol in 8 months either so I'm completely sober. What I'm getting at is I was on a path to becoming a 'non-substance' person' and all of a sudden mushrooms popped up and I had the urge to try them! The only reason I bought up the drugs was to note how diffiicult it is to obtain them which was adequately answered with 'they find you'.

I'd never go back to any of the old things I used to take. Mushrooms suprisingly to me, based on old notions of mushrooms, seem like a step forward. The thing is since my 'time off' everything, including alchohol, I recognise my abuse of any particular substance. So when I start taking mushrooms, they won't be a weekly experience.

One more question, DMT from what I've researched, people smoke in a glass pipe? Where do the crystals come from? Still available in Aus?

Yeah, DMT is vaporised (heated to boiling point) in a glass pipe or modified light bulb ect. You can extract it from a wide variety of natural sources, including wattle (a.k.a. acacia; check erowid.org’s DMT vault for more info) trees which grow everywhere over here so it’s quite possible for you to extract your own. That’s what I’m doing

Well it’s good to hear you’ve abstained from alcohol (I quit after drowning in it all throughout high school) and those other nasties for a period of reflection. You will no doubt gain great understanding and a new gratitude for life once you have been on your first hyperspace journey.
I wish you luck, and hope that you gain great experience throughout your psychedelic adventures in the future.

But just as a note, if your going to do mushrooms for the first time make sure you pay extra attention to your mind set before the trip, the setting in which your trip will take place and also that you either have the very best (and least closed minded/annoying, preferably) friend present for support or just by yourself for a totally introspective and transcendent experience. And don’t go into public, you wont survive,

Just remember; there is a line between a user of a substance and an abuser of one.
Just don’t become the latter, for all our sake and yours.
