Has anyone tried Bromo Dragonfly?

What the fuck is Bromo Dragonfly . The only Bromo i know is bromide , they used to give it to men in prisons to stop them geting a hard on .

I have never heard of it either but did a google search, and it turns out it is a 100% synthestic drug. I get the impression that this is a natural drug, not some synthestic one. No clue what it active compounds are but it is almost as potent as LSD but not quite. Dosage is between 200-800ugs. I'm pretty sure you can OD pretty easily. The trip is very long and comparable to LSD. The trip lasts anywhere from 12-24 hours. Users report a very irritable comedown as they just want to sleep after tripping hard for 12 hours. The comedown is usually another 12 hours. You also have a hard time falling asleep because you feel like your on some time of speed. The hallunications are said to be very intense, and it is also very intense mentally. I would like to know the active compounds in this substances if anyone knows?

It sounds like DOB, which is a bromo-amphetamine. Sounds a lot like it.

apparently its linked to the phenethylamine family.

Its available from some research chemical companies (the few reputable that are left).

I think spice is right, it is a sum sort of bromo amphetemine.
Iv read about it being intense,the blotters swim has come across are 500ugs each.
so he hopes they will do something.cheers for the input guys.will keep u posted.

On another forum (it's dutch, so I won't copy it over here, but try to translate it as good as possible), one of the members describes it as "not something he did not experience before, but something that combines the different effects of different groups of substances. It is like psychedelic waves on a calming baseline. In general the four hours of peak activity of the drug was a mixture of an upper, a downer, having no concentration and every now and then flashes of cacti, acid or tryptamines."

He did not experience CEV, so he concluded that it might be a drug for a visually stimulating environment.

Its a research chemical , personaly my body is a temple so i dont test research chemicals with it as i respect it and value my life . Its been asociated with several deaths , as one can read in the erowid link . I realy dont understand why anyone should use their body as a chemical dustbin when there are wonderfull things like mushrooms , Ayahuasca and cacti out there that have been proven to be safe over thousands of years . If you want that extra kick try strychnine wich at the right doses is also psychoactive , or car exhaust fumes / drink loads of alcohol / sniff glue and put a plastic bag over your head . And i think that any one who puts things exept LSD on blotters should be carefull that it is not sold to inocent punters as LSD .

very true,iv never had the opportunity to experience lsd,it is the one substance that has always entriged me.I havent heard many people say anything bad about it.

Further investigation reveals it to be an analog of DOB.

So, an analog of an analog.

I think the real point everyone is making about not selling superpotent phenethylamines as LSD on blotters is simply the danger of overdose. Most of these chemicals cause major pressor effects. These are blood pressure elevation, hyperthermia, (aka overheating) and elevated pulse. LSD is actually quite safe, on a physical basis, when compared to some of these super phenethylamines. Dr. Shulgin has made it pretty clear to me that dying of a DOB overdose isnt something pleasant. Bromo Dragonfly is supposed to be around 5X as potent, by weight.

Aside from the fact that I am personally driven by unbound curiosity, I think by
experimenting with these "research chemicals" we can learn more about the
human mind. I think these things warrant study and experimentation.

I'll admit their are elevated risks but basic safety procedures can make
experimentation quite feasible and relatively safe for what it is. For instance by
using extremely small doses (<=1mg) and incrementally increasing the dosage
a grater level of safety can be achieved. Also abstaining from any mind altering
substances can prevent negative interactions between the drugs.

Of course please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to say that anyone
should or should not try them I'm just saying personally I think they can be quite
rewarding.

Edit: I did some checking on wikipedia and the dose for br-dfly is "...in the region of 200?g to 800?g..." So make sure your scale can handle it.

"Curiosity killed the cat" . I personaly dont want to end up in a straight jacket , coffin or fry my brain . I think we should forget subjective experimentation with unproved chemicals and wait til experienced scientists have done objective research with them and proved that they are safe and usefull .

There is a big difference between 200 and 800 micrograms and between that and 1 mg = 1000 micrograms . Imagine the difference in the effects taking 1mg of LSD instead of 200 micrograms .

SWIM got the Bromo Blotters finally,but instead of being 500mcg,the company had sent him 1000mcg blotters,Great for the first 6 - 8 hours (after the 3 hours coming up) but a 30 hour trip just drains the body.It comes on after about 3 hours,very magical then once the curtains start to move,wave after wave hits and they just get stronger,SWIM took 1 1000mcg blotter on friday and woudnt have come down till sunday nite if it hadnt been for zoplicone.definetly not one for clubbing.If anyone even considers to ride the dragonfly,500mcg or less is more than enough.Overall Wicked experience,can be quite colourful.Trails of rainbows follow ur hands,the rooms your in feels like a big squashy box,no signs of paranoia but at 1000mcg the trip is too long and in the hands of people that cant handle it,it is like any other psycedelic..can be bloody dangerous.
God mentioned in a few posts back about it being dangerous putting this on blotters,i totally agree,any unsupecting person buying this as acid could well end up in hospital or worse,the morge.(sorry to be so gim peeps,but these are the facts)
SWIM definetly prefers shrooms and lsa,natural is alot better way to go than totally synthetic.
