first off this is my first post so hello to you all. i have just finished reading breaking open the head by daniel pinchbeck. i was wondering how many of you good people have also read this and would be interested in your views.

My friend has made me read quite a bit from pinchbeck's "Quetzacotl" or is the the return of quetzacotl?

Anyways, I think he may be a crazy. He can be insightful, intelligent, and deep - but like terrance mckenna, alot of his views have become personal experessions that tthey (pinchbeck and mckenna) find are suitable foreveryone. Which may not be a correct idealogy when dealing with psychodelics in my opinion.

yeah you do get the feeling he has slipped in to a mild psychosis

I agree with both of you. Some of these guys' views are super far out. I started reading both Breaking Open the Head and 2012: The Return of Quetzacoatl and never finished either, couldn't deal with some of what he proposed. These guys cross the point of "grossly new-agey" for me at some levels.
