what do you do with it?? i think sometimes i could bore myself to death. its like it keeps creeping back in tho, when you thought you had defeated it. not saying there aren't effective methods to kill boredom... but maybe sometimes the boredom has its own character or personality and you may need a specific way to kill it off. so what else is there to say?? maybe someone wants to share his/her preferred ways/methods of killing boredom. for me it's like sometimes i do something yet sometimes i do nothing... listening to music, taking drugs, sports, eating, party, travelling, talking.. they all seem to work relatively well as the means to the end. hmmm i hope the topic is not too sucked dry already... :P
however when it comes to preferred death experience i would rather choose laughing instead, i guess... lol
what you think??? :)

peace

usually I'd just smoke some weed, but before that I'd eat something, and afterwards too. then I'm going to browse the internet until I realize that I'm wasting my time, which is the moment when I decide to go outside. when I'm in the city I'll grab my bike and ride somewhere where I haven't been before, if I'm on the land I'll fool around in the forest :D take a skinny-dip in a river or lake, climb some really steep place, smell the resin of the trees (I'd like to make a perfume out of that but I'm afraid it's going to be a sticky perfume).

but if I'm really bored, which is another word for diluted pain, I'll do nothing really. maybe some of the above, but very half-heartedly.

on the long scale I always find myself something to do. the next two months seem quite promising, first a week at the ozora (psytrance festival) and then one and a half months of India in monsoon and some low-key motorbiking in kashmir :wasted: gonna be awesome

yoyoyoyo bananananaa

you can make perfume out of that. go to youtube and look up "steam distillation", some people ghetto rig some of their pots and pans to do just that!

I'm rarely bored, even when I'm wasting my time.

Only time I really get bored is after 1 or 2 hours of meditation. Paying attention helps.

hmmm, i had a "serious" thought to it, and realized, that i don't really get bored anymore... once i begin to tire of things, after doing them over and over, i find something else to do, or bring something new to the old activity, and it makes it like new again.

maybe i should say, that i do still get bored, but not like i used to. if something becomes boring, it is merely a brief indicator for change, and i stop doing whatever it was, and do something as new as possible :D even the smallest variations can make old things/activities new again.

Once in a while I will get bored, then I play video games and realize what real boredom is like...

what happens with me is I'll play a game, and like you said, holy shit an hour already? Then I stop. Everything is boring now. Nothing gives that fast-pace constant thought. Everything is so slow, so droll, now I gotta readjust. slow down.

It's definitely some kind of withdrawel...

Sometimes I get SO into a video game that I realize I need to get off my ass, right now! End up doing something very productive, where I wouldn't have done so had I been reading a book for an hour or so.
