Aspirin and ibuprofen may hold the key to solving the deadly Alzheimer's puzzle

Alzheimer's disease if the most common form of dementia, affecting over 24 million people worldwide. It is degenerative, terminal and there's no known cure for it at the moment, which makes it an even scarier prospect than many of the other frightening demons of modern times, cancer and AIDS among them. Losing our "mind" - our reasoning abilities, our memory and the ability to care for ourselves, all of this in a ruthless progression over a long interval of time can be seen by some as just about the most traumatizing and heartbreaking prospect imaginable. In their struggle to come up with a way to potentially prevent the onset of Alzheimer's disease, researchers have come up with a rather unexpected answer: common, everyday painkillers.Previous research had suggested that Alzheimer's could be prevented by regular use of a group of drugs known among scientists as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (or NSAIDs for short), the most common and widely-known such medicine being ibuprofen, naproxen and the ever-so-amazing aspirin. The latest and largest study conducted on this theme found that of the 14,000 people whose medicine intake had been closely monitored, those who used ibuprofen, aspirin and naproxen regularly had a 23% lower risk of getting Alzheimer's than those who never used them. However, scientists warn us that it's not a good idea to start taking these drugs in large quantities over a prolonged period of time, since they have also been linked with a number of serious side-effects, such as stomach bleeding. The answer, scientists now believe, lies not in taking aspirin and ibuprofen blindly as such, but rather researching the anti-dementia effects of the substances that go into them, and developing new drugs that have the same beneficial properties, minus the side-effects. "There is a growing body of evidence on the protective effects of NSAIDs and Alzheimer's disease. There are already ongoing clinical trials looking at the benefits of treatments with similar properties in people with Alzheimer's disease. It is now up to researchers to develop these latest findings into safe and effective treatments for Alzheimer's" commented Professor Clive Ballard, director of research at the British Alzheimer's Society.

What the article above doesnt say is that Alzheimers was supposed to be caused by a build up of plaques in the brain . Now it has been proven that thats not true as many people have them and dont have Alzheimers . The ibuprofen works as an anti inflammatory wich scientists say means Alzheimers has something to do with the brain swelling but they dont know why it swells up .

They should give one of the Alzheimer people 2 aspirins and a big LSD dose and see what happens.

"infrared altzheimers hat"

Why not just stand in the sun ???? Sorry if thats dumb , i didnt watch the video because the text on that web site just made me laugh .

the sun works but the IR frequency is very specific and youd have to spend all your time in the sun. most people would just forget. the link wasnt the one i was looking for, im just very lazy.

Hows it suposed to work Drugless ? I thought IR light caused / is warmth and makes the brain swell if you warm it up ? = the causes of dementia !!!!!

???????? a dit:

You better don't, every pharmaceutical is completely wack when consumed during a psychedelic trip.

I did this once with Oxezepam, thought I was gonna die, no joke.

"Oxezepam"

What my quack gave me for Amphetamine psychosis . Its like a baseball bat in the face .

my girlfriend swears by it. swears a lot less on it too

the IR hat makes the plaque buidup in the brain soluble so it magicaly goes away. IR has a wide spectrum- some frequencies pass through the skull, or walls or watever as if they were transparent. ive figured you could make such a hat using an IR source and filters for about 250pounds sterling. dont know what that is in euros. altzheimers is basicaly liver spots in the neurons.

Thanks for the info . So it warms them up and melts them ? I wrote above that its been proven that plaques are not to blame for Alzheimers , it was on a documentary last week , if you know different please tell me more ? With liver spots do you mean them ? If not can you tell me more and/or where i can get more info about it please ? Me moms got something like that so i`d be interested in wearing one permanently especialy if it had a walkman built in .

A quid is/is about 1.5 Euros .

Can she function OK ? I dont mean the on , off , housework ,cooking , go to work and sex buttons , i mean generaly ? It seemed to me to be stronger and longer than Valium and i used to feel zombifyed all the next day . But maybe that was just what it did to me . I ask cos me Valium just ran out and i`m on a 30 hour waking day period again = 18 hours online now . Good job one cant fix computers !!!!! Allthough my veins are big enough after all that practice .........

ill look into plaques and get back onit.sticky protein called beta amyloid and changes is cell membrane(lipid)turnover. also twisted nerve fibers. i guess the IR makes the b-amyloid more soluble

the girlfriend cant function without it. diagnosed as schytzoid reactive dissorder whatever that means. prescribed 2 other antipsychotics too and doesnt want to come off them. she was totaly self destructive but now saner than me. each to theyre own :yawinkle:
