So swim had 2 plants 6" tall then one day chomp! something ate it..
A wild cat, chimpmunk, squirl or my god, WTF!
then the next day chomp there goes the other one...

anyone else have this problem?

a very sad story, but outdoor grows are advised to be fenced in because theres more than afew critters that will devower them.

my aunty had a goat a pet, and one day it ate her plant, the fifth one so they had goat for dinner lol she said it was beautiful :D

yep,, i moved 2 plants into the woods a few weeks ago onto what i assumed was a fertile patch of soil. When I returned 2 days later the top leaves had been eaten and from there more disappeared until there was nothing. I tried peing around it, didnt seem to do much. I would use fencing but that would give it away to anyone walking in the woods. Perhaps next time il bring my dog and let him relieve himself around the plant or use some deterring odors like pepper.

i think pee would attract honestly. because if an animal smells it, they instantly go to put their scent over it. idk that 4sure though.

i would just use the trick we use for thwarting drug dogs. alittle cyan pepper where you dont want them sniffing .

but idk how well that would work in a forest setting.

what about setting up fisihing line around the surrounding trees to make a much less attention grabbing fence? ide say 4 lines from ankle high to waist high would keep out most of the critters. unless its squirrels or something of that nature. but i was always under the impression it was deer and things like that.

trick a dit:
but i was always under the impression it was deer and things like that.
I think you're right. It's gotta be some kind of herbivore, I seriously doubt anything else would be eating your plants. Whatever it is though, you can be sure that gardeners have had to deal with the same problem, and they will have shared their helpful information on the net. Just google "how to deter animals from eating plants" or something and you'll get all kinds of solutions :D

i dont see any fences here. theres deffinatly got to be some sort of way to keep them away.

handful of bloodmeal (fertilizer) in a rag or tshirt, then tied into a ball and hung from a nearby tree is supposed to be useful in deterring deer. i think chipmunks or rabbits are not affected by this at all though from what i've experienced, because the soil that was being protected this way was still dug up again afterwards. never had a plant eaten though, only dug up.

peeing is another deterrant for deer, and also a source of nitrogen for your plant. be mindful of other minerals in your pee though

vous avez une idée .. c'est gentil!
dude excellent travail. maintenir le bon travail .. .. Bonne chance à vous et à nous tous!

les gars bonne journée ... rester en sécurité.!
:butthead:

snails used to do this in my garden....

I take them away with cigarette ash on the ground around the plant, but chemical products will work also.....

Yeah my neigbour did so!! Fuck*** Bas****!!
I KNOW IT'S YOU!!

hehe just kidding, never happend,
probably because i've never grown herb
