I lurked this place for years way back when I was a young psychonaut. Learned a lot.

Lately I haven't watched this place at all and it seems kinda weird, but still decided to get on and maybe help a few people out that desperately need it (so many around here, probably more than the people that post). Let's hope I can convey my experience in a way that seems suitable for others and that my own little church gets established.

depends what you believe in.

hard question to answer.

I've been around a lot of the beliefs and I like to try on new ones once in a while to see how they fit. At the moment, I'm not really sure if there is anything I believe. There must be, but I've questioned a lot of my believes in the past and the big ones are pretty much gone. I may believe that personal experience is the only way to truth, but even that I consider more knowledge learned through experience rather than a believe. I aspire to truth, and that may point to some believe that this truth can be attainable and that there is an I that can experience it. I'm not sure if this "I" is real or not.

As you see, a lot of doubts.

But I think the more interesting question is what my attitude in life is. I would describe it as flowing, navigating reality with consciousness. Not getting stuck. One has to have an open mind and be able to let go. Act instead of react.

Light a dit:
depends what you believe in.
I don't believe in churches, or institutions for spirituality. a church would mean for its followers to have an (inner) authority that tells these people a code or way to behave so that they may experience the freedom that they want to feel. but, by its nature, authorities can never achieve this, instead there will be lots of second-hand humans with a conflict between the authority in their head and their true selves. no peace - inner and outer - can be made through authorities, ever.

There are many roads to truth and enlightenment, but enlightenment is singular and all enlightened people or similar and teach similar things. While I agree with what you say, I do think a spiritual teacher can help people in their own journey. (S)he knows what steps to take and which mistakes to avoid. Churches can be very static and authoritarian, but there is the possibility to have a church without these bad habits. I really don't care for power over others. I like to help people, but I don't want them to feel they need to do something in return.
