So bad childish humor aside , why should anyone use agar agar for anything ? its very unspecific = EVRYTHING grows on it and we dont want to grow everything ? What are the disadvantages = EVERYTHING grows on it + its a totaly unnesecery step + its another chance to grow crap because its less sterile than using just grain jars just because of transfering it to ALL the jars , and what are the advantages = 0 or its nice playing post offices ?
What you said in your first post is true but as i said its out of date , something from 30 years ago from Oss and Oeric who just put all the lab mushroom growing info into one book . BUT they hadnt got much experience of growing and time moves on , people experiment and find better , shorter , cheeper , safer , easyer and cleaner methods .
This is not ment to be a steam roller , i apreciate your input , knowledge and education and i`m into a dialoge . If you think i`m wrong , or have questions , or can explain to me why anyone should do it please do .
Maybe the site royalty can change my Hofmann picture and replace it with a stop sign with "Dangerous rabid homicidal maniac" written on it ?
