Adding plants to the mushroom terrarium

What about adding plants to the terrarium? If the terrarium receives indirect sunlight, the plants should provide the terrarium with sufficient oxygen and humidity, or not?
Is there any contamination problem if using this technique? Or is this technique a waste of time?

I found this photo in www.shroomery.org and it made me think on this questions...

plants also use oxygen...

you need to fan anyway. air that doesn't move is perfect for contaminants and you don't want that.

oh yeah, the shroomery doesn't allow outsite linking of images...

Sure they use oxygen, but only when in the dark. Every plant should produce oxygen when exposed to sunlight due to photosynthesis. They only use oxygen and produce CO2 when they are unable to do the photosynthesis… right? I am almost sure of this, but as I’ve said before, I am not a student, scientist, mycologist, biologist… /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Do you think your shrooms need more oxygen to grow ? Mine grow without any source of this... They use the O2 wich is in the fruiting room.

enfin un forum francais sur la culture des chamignons magiques,je suis actuellement en pleine culture,avec des seringues que jai acheter a azaruis...p.c equateur
Pour ce qui se pose la question de choisir entre un kit tout pret et de tous faire sois meme,je dirai fait tou toi meme!!!!tu trouvera tou les ingredient et materiel a cote de chez toi(sauf les spores)et ce sera plu "rigolo".
C'est ma premiere culture et apre mettre renseigné abondament...ca marche tre bien en suivan toutes les regles de bases...
pour ceux qui veulent des renseignement au sujet du materiel et du lieux dachat et pour toute question relative au mushroom contacter moi!!!!!!!!

Sorry, i dont understand french...
Well, actually, my shrooms also grow with no oygen, I keep the lid of my terrarium closed to maintain humidity, and until now, i already harvested 2 times, and the 3rd are coming fast!
Unfortunatelly, i cant mantain the temperature, it's less than 24 degress, about 15º. They are growing slow, but steady! I really will grow more kits or build my own, because this cubensis rock!! They are definitly great!!!

Hello!Yes,in my opininion you shouldn't use other plants in the terrarium,they might become a source of disease and infection for your mushies.
Keep the good growing.Cubensis are a blast,but next weekend i´m going for half a stamp of an acid i got,and what a blast it will be /forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif!

Hello!Actually,i was preety lucky to find these ones at a small goa party nearby,i never saw these before,they have a printed green hand with an eye on them,they're very good and last for hours and hours,and yes,believe me,half is enough!

That's my way too...
Unfortunatelly, many drugs that we get are not that good, and therefore I dont usually buy large quantities... I prefer to buy one or two, test them, and after that, if it pleases me, buy a lot /forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif
But as you problably know, its very dificult to find good stuff here in PT... this sucks!

Actually, I will build one, but I will only have there P. Cubensis.
They are nice enought to be alone, with each others!

By the way, can we have diferent types of P. Cubensis in the same terrarium safely?
