So I just saw a bunch of talks on www.ted.com about consciousness, the brain and how our mind works and felt like sharing.

What I particularly liked about this talk is how at the end, they show how they are translating vision into sound and vice-versa, which is abit what some psychedelics like LSD actually do. And maybe this is why we feel that psychedelics help us in understanding ourselves better, because they help identify "context" about our environment and surroundings (both mental and physical) by translating it, and showing it to us in a different way.

All I can say is I hope I will see the day when this kind of research matures and brings forward some practical conclusions, because let's face it... who doesn't want to know exactly how our brain works??
