Has anyone seen this movie?

I found it to be quite interesting and very relevant to many of the issues we face.

It depicts how people are indiscriminately exploited by the benefactors of addiction.
How many become dependant on something they wish to escape.
How opinion and interpretation are abused to fuel avaricious agendas, without concern for life.

Exploitation has no obligation to those who are exploited.

Great film; and some trippy visual effects to boot.

Peace.

I've seen it once, very good indeed :)

I was extremely stoned when i saw this movie, but the effects were awesome 8)

linklater is genious. I loved that movie, as well as waking life.
one of my favourite movies.

they never showed that movie in our cinema though, but I wasn't surprised...

Linklater is a great director in movie making, and this is another great example.

I already saw some nice movies from him, wich I "urge" you to see them:
- Fast Food Nation (Great. Shows how, more or less, fast food corporations work, and explore workers, and such...)
- Before Sunrise (romance, with very interesting speechs)
- Dazed and Confused (very funny)
- Tape (very funny too)
- Waking Life (A Lesson)

and there are others that I already downloaded, but didn't saw yet. But this ones are a-must-see.

Great film.

amazing movie, watched it on shrooms and scratched all night after but couldnt think why

Liked the movie quite a bit.

The original book is terrific as well and a must-read. The ending is far more of a mind trip and a bit heartwrenching too.

As I understand it Philip K Dick's list of victims were people who were experimenting with regular speed usage...

Spun! :p

I had to saw this movie a couple of times before I could understand is, the first 2/3 times I was to wasted to follow the story...
But it's a great film, love the humor!

You are talking about the way its created I guess?

You guessed right ^^
I like the way it's made

@Skrudge; Yeah, really cool part :D
Although the movie has a high McDonalds rate, it's very funny

Definite favorite of mine this film, took me a couple of watches to "get it" but really liked the drug humour.

I particularly like how the film captured the sense of confusion and a blurring of reality - I'm guessing thats why they use the cartoon over film look - It looks far too real to be hand drawn animation, but the unreal quality is unmistakable.

Heart wrenching ending too

I think it highlights the idea that the people everybody dismisses (as addicts in this case) are human too, something I think various governments ignore when they send people to prison on drug charges.

"this has been a story about people who were punished entirely too much for what they did."

The list shows the real punishment.

there were these two guys who were be the best of the entire team rotoscoping one thing, and they did only that for the entire movie

that was Keanu Reeve's beard

what do you mean by "high mcdonalds" rate space?

I meant it's a very "light" movie, no deeper messages, just a fun movie to watch (with a joint or/and some beers)

that's a very cryptic way of expressing this ;)
