Whats everyone doing around the world?

Do many people celebrate it?

Or is it just a thing in the states?

Im going to smoke weed all day starting at 12am tonight. Its almost a traditions with all of my close friends. Some of my best days were on 420.
Ill probably get a bottle of liquor too :D. What are you guys doing?

shit how do i fix the title?

i meant to put 420**

Something similar roams here too. I heard it was an everyday thing, one would smoke 4:20 morning and afternoon.

On 4/20, I've heard, lots of people gather in a park downtown and smoke until the cops arrive to not be able to do much because its too crowed. Maybe I'll go and sniff around a bit n see if it's true. Happy sight it would be indeed.

I am heading downtown Vancouver to the art gallery. There is suppose to be a rally 10,000 strong. I am excited!!

That was last years.

peace & love

i think the 420 thing came up because it was the code used by the cops a while back for someone using cannabis...like breaker breaker (lol trucker terms) 420 in progress, officer en-route
i may be wrong!!
**EDIT**
well i did a little research...i was wrong!!

One explanation of the origin of the term stems from a story about a group of teenagers at San Rafael High School in San Rafael, California, United States in 1971. The teens would meet after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the Louis Pasteur statue. The exact time was chosen because that was the time that afternoon detention was dismissed. By extension April 20 ("4/20" in U.S. date notation) has evolved into a counterculture holiday, where people gather to celebrate and consume cannabis.[1] In some locations this celebration coincides with Earth Week.[2][3][4] In Dunedin, New Zealand, members of Otago NORML were arrested and issued trespass notices after attempting to openly smoke cannabis on the Otago University Union Lawn at the regular 4:20pm protest meetings.[5][6] A large celebration is held every year on the University of Colorado's Boulder's campus, with attendance reaching more than 10,000 in 2008.[7] University police have tried various methods to prevent the gathering, including photographing students participating in the event,[8] but the crowd has grown every year.[9]

i hadnt heard of this until today
this sucks, i could have had weed but chose to stay home
and now i find out i should be stoned!? dam it!
i dont think anyone in aus does this, or if they do not many do...

In france we have"L'appel du 18 joint/juin"

But he didn't have many participant, french intelligence service was here with their camera. And people don't assume the fact of smoking pot.

Cowardice and repression wasn't a good synergy for a parade.

Enjoy weed, happy 420!

that's a nice day and I have an idea what I am gonna do... oh and I think there is no such tradition here. Especially as in Europe you would rather say 204 instead of 420...

What 420 Means: The True Story Behind Stoners' Favorite Number

It starts with the Dead.

It was Christmas week in Oakland, 1990. Steven Bloom was wandering through The Lot - that timeless gathering of hippies that springs up in the parking lot before every Grateful Dead concert - when a Deadhead handed him a yellow flyer.

"We are going to meet at 4:20 on 4/20 for 420-ing in Marin County at the Bolinas Ridge sunset spot on Mt. Tamalpais," reads the message, which Bloom dug up and forwarded to the Huffington Post. Bloom, then a reporter for High Times magazine and now the publisher of CelebStoner.com and co-author of Pot Culture, had never heard of "420-ing" before.

The flyer came complete with a 420 back story: "420 started somewhere in San Rafael, California in the late '70s. It started as the police code for Marijuana Smoking in Progress. After local heads heard of the police call, they started using the expression 420 when referring to herb - Let's Go 420, dude!"

I will celebrate by not smoking anything today. Just to be edgy and cool.

Yay 420! I get to go to work..

Bah I just forgot it :( but it can't be helped with our order of dates (dd/mm/yy) :P

well i havent been on ina few days, but monday was great.

Me and all of my old stoner buddies got together with 7 grams of master kush.

I rolled a blueberry blunt with a tulip on it.

but about 4 grams all together in it. sparked it at 4:20pm.

bowls and beer from then on till we passed out, i woke up around 3am and decided to stay up for 4:20am for the hell of it 8). smoked a bowl, watched breaking bad. then crashes again.

It was a pretty good time, lots of laughing and old war stories. :) its been awhile since we all hung out.

Eveyone has been getting arrested and stuff, so its like we all got broken apart, but everyone is out right now, so we kicked it like old times.
