People who back up 2012 do not necessarily back up "all-loving-all-beautiful enlightment". Novelty has nothing to do with "all-loving-all-beautiful enlightment". The Mayan calendar has nothing to do with "all-loving-all-beautiful enlightment".

OK, here's what I think.

If certain astronomical phenomena have an effect on human consciousness, they have a gradual, not a radical, effect. If there is something significant about 2012 then the effects should be felt in the years preceding and following it. So 2011 and 2013 could be very significant years as well. And December 21 of any of these years is probably going to pass without much notice.

Other systems of divination, such as Western or Vedic astrology, do not ascribe significance to the year 2012. The next shift from one age to another (from Pisces to Aquarius) is going to occur more than 400 years from now. Which is another gradual shift.

Thank you . So you mean there is going to be a shift in human consciousness ? I think that will happen to , but i dont think it has anything to do with 2012 or stars or esoteric things . I think its a natural and predictable phenomena that has continualy happened throughout human evolution . A bit like at first humanity experiences something and doesnt realise the implications and the effects on it . Then iit itches , then it becomes uncomfortable , then it burns , then it hurts enough to do something about it .

I think its interesting that you say the age of aquarius starts in 400 years . I always thought it starts in 2064 but then i looked in wikipedea and read something diferent again about diferent people having diferent theorys ??? So now i`m a bittle lit confused.......

What's the day everything is supposed to happen? December 21st?

I think that day will be very much the same as the day before it and the days before that. I foresee no major change in consciousness, no end of the world or way of life. I see things continuing on as they have been for some time now.

I think that all of the people who have been capitalizing on the 2012 hysteria by writing books, producing movies and so on will wish they chose a date farther in the future so that they could have made more money. Possibly there will be a re-interpretation of the mayan calendar that puts their 2012 out further into our future allowing further money to be made.

I find the popular interest in 2012 to be fascinating, but I don't really think this interest is based on anything real at all. Won't my face be red if the world explodes!

well i hope to get laid in 2012:lol: . I'll be 27 years young when it's 2012 and a lot of famous people who i liked died at that age but not me. What will happen to the world??? I really don't think that anything is going to change. There will be pointless war. There will be naturedisasters. Poor people will lose their homes. rich people will get richer and nobody gives a flying f*ck about other people anymore. Just like it's always was. some things just can't be changed its all about money and "whats in it for me?"

A shift on all kinds of levels: cognitive and cultural within the human race, climatological and geographical in the rest of the environment.

The age of Pisces didn't start 2000 years ago with the birth of Christ, but around 350 AD, with the Counsil of Nicea (the creation of Christendom). 350 + 2160 = 2510, so that's even more than 400 years from now.

2012 i believe could be the time where the majority of the world is "enlighted" not like instantly, but over the comming years people will learn.

Then what? who knows what might be possible.
I havent made my mind up about the matter, i probably never will... I`ll always be open minded.
