Anyone seen it? With Pinchbeck?

I don't really care much for pinchbeck, but the documentary was very good. I enjoyed it greatly. You should all go see it and then blast it on your skyscraper's walls in your closest downtown. :)

I've watched part of a "documentary" about this supposed event that is to occur in 2012.

Anyone who professes to know what will happen in 2012 is a liar, it is the future, you can't know what will happen. Anyone who then goes on to make a documentary about what will happen in 2012 is a greedy liar.

Sorry if this is a bit harsh but I've had a gutful of all these doomsayers professing to know what will happen in 2012. I'll tell you what will happen in 2012 - at midnight on 31 December 2012 the calendar will quietly tick over to 1 January 2013.

Move along, nothing to see here.

also the culture the whole calendar thing came out of doesn't really seem overly spiritually ripe.

I was talkin to a friend of mine over christmas and she was saying there were 3 or four different unrelated cultures that have their callendars end around the time of 2012. Each of them had no way at the time of reaching the other cultures and sharing their calenders.

Her husband who is normally a skeptic on all things said there was this wierd thing about a website he was going to that was using statistics and datamining to scour the web for information on future events and trying to figure out if there was a correlation between predicted events and their discussions all over the internet and them actualy happening. Were some self fullfilling prophecies at a global scale, were others picked up via 'foretelling the future' across multiple methods. That kind of thing. They seemed to have a very strong reputation for being accurate on precise things plus or minus very short amounts.

The wierd thing though was the website said practically all predictions of the future using this method STOP in 2012 and they dont know why or whats supposed to happen. As much as they can predict lots of things they cant predict WHY it stops it just all dries up.

Me and my friend got into the discussion that we think there is going to be a major global spiritual and psychological shift about that time that correlates to being 'large enough' that 'predictive services' such as the old calenders and this new era technology cant process the change because the new change is severe enough to be unintelligible at the moment.

It will be interesting to see what happens none the less. Dont think its the end of the world or anything but it could be the end of 'life as we know it' atleast at a psychological and/or spiritual level.

Well you didn't fucking watch it, and way to completely be a jerk about it. Watch the entire fucking movie!

It has to do with us changing our perception on everyday things. Like you eating meat every day without caring (yah I pulled one out). Or all of us simply flipping a switch and not wondering where that came from. Not thinking.

Its about changing what we need to be conscious of, and becoming closer to the reality - to nature - of things. Watch the fucking movie before you bash it like a naive pompous jerk. 15% of the movie is dedicated to doomsday stuff, the other 75% is dedicated to people who want to change who we are, and how we think. The real smart people, people with a bit of shamanistic knowledge in them. In fact, now that I remember, NOBODY IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE SAYS THE WORLD IS GOING TO END. Its more of an excuse to use this date as a leverage for change.

Watch the GOD DAMN MOVIE BEFORE YOU WRITE IT OFF AS WACK CRACK.

Are you aware that your hostility and filthy language stifles good conversation?

Are you aware that your hostility and filthy language stifles good conversation?

Seems to be a lot of that around here recently. Caught myself doing it and had to back away from two conversations now that were irritating me and possibly causing me to get 'upset' enough to 'lash out'. (Which is sad on so many levels when anyone does it for any reason.)

To fill in a "Nothing to see here, move along" on something that its science needs to see, and has been asking to see, in some way or another is very angering.

sorry for using language. i showed emotion.

Aparently somehow emotion has become either illegal or evil on this board and I am not entirely sure which one or how.

WILL EVERYONE PLEASE LIGHTEN THE FUCK UP!

Thank you.

NOW there is nothing to see here. Move along. (Just not on a mobius rode cuz that would anoying and you could end up having head on collisions across multiple dimensions lol.)

Meep meep.
