Helllo everyone, this is my first post here which is one of the best psychedelic forums out there.
Anyway I have 40gs of powdered San Pedro, and the source is legit. I have a pretty low tolerance towards substances of these kinds, perhaps because I'm a small guy, so I expect a light, hopefully medium trip.
I've been a bum for the last year, and I realized I need to change. However I'm depressed and can't find motivation. The reason I say this is because you could say my 'intention' is that the experience be a learning/healing/changing one.
Never tried Mshrooms although I have a strong desire to.
Where I live I could easily take Ayahuasca, but I think it's too powerful for me at this moment. So I ordered the San Pedro but I've been putting it off for a while now.
Maybe it's out of respect but I always hear that you must wait for the 'plant to call you'. Some might say that's BS, well I kinda believe that. I'm trying to have a spiritual approach about the whole thing, I've been reading a lot on San Pedro, the icaros, mesas etc. It seems like the Natives regard them as actual spiritual medicines.
I plan to dose at morning on a sunny day with blue skies which are fortunately common around this time.
So I have some questions....
1) I've been living indoors for a while, but I have access to a very nearby beach and a small park. How should I go about it? Take the SP, and get outside? I don't want to be puking or acting mad in public... Peak indoors and go outside when I'm 'coming down'? Would it be wise to walk around or just to sit back and relax with nature? Note that I do not have a siiter, unfortunately.
2)I've made a playlist on both my PC and my MP3 player which I think will help guide the trip in a positive light should I need it. Is music an important part of the experience? Does it enhance the trip in any way, or are you better off without it, in silence?
3) How am I going to down all that powder? I know, there are recipes, but I'm way too lazy. Mixing a bit of Gatorade and a black Halls for the aftertaste?
4)What are the spiritual implications of this experience? From what I've read, this seems like one of the most 'benevolent' psychedelics, despite the fact that it's a cactus (amazing in itself).
I sometimes hear about negs and it freaks me out because once I was being 'raped' by a succubus, in one of three near-OBEs I had years ago. It was super bizarre. Well ghosts and spirits freak me out in general.
Is there any way, maybe simpler than the mesa that seems so important to the shamans, to protect myself from harm and successfully contact my protectors in the spiritual world? Or am I stretching it - maybe this would happen on a DMT trip, but not 40g SP?
I apologize for any misstatements, I'm really just a noob. Nice to meet you all.
